Fall Tomatoes

Recommended Posts

This was my first year to try fall tomatoes.  I'm not sure if I did something wrong.  I have many tomatoes, but they are still green on the vine.  I thought they were supposed to ripen in early November.  Should I harvest them before the freeze and try to ripen them inside?

Fall tomatoes should have been planted at the beginning of July. I am not sure when you planted yours, but you should have had some ripe tomatoes before now. Yes, go ahead and pick the green tomatoes that are on your vine before the freeze. Let them sit out on your kitchen counter and most of them will eventually ripen. Good luck!
