Allen author Jenny Bhatt’s debut collection ‘Each of Us Killers’ reveals a world of challenges

Two of her stories are Pushcart Prize nominees and another was nominated for Best Short Story in 2017.  Each of Us Killers is a story collection that is woven at the intersection of work and intense human emotions-fear, guilt, anger, and anxiety.  At the work place, navigating the often-subtle fault lines of class, gender, ethnicity, race, and caste are explored in these stories.  Jenny observes, “Having worked at 20-some varying jobs myself since my late-teens, I wanted to dive deeper into how our work and our identities are intertwined.”

A writer, literary translator, and literary critic, Jenny is also the host of the Desi Books podcast.   

Her works have appeared or is forthcoming in various venues in the US, UK, and India, including The Atlantic, NPR, BBC, Washington Post and Literary Hub.
