Zuider Zee...wow...there's one from the deep dark corner of my memory. Wow. My grandmother used to take me to the one over on Garland Road when I was probably....what three years old.


How about:

Pig Stand



Duanes (Dwaynes?) (Jupiter and NW highway)

Bob whites bbq down off of East Grand and Garland Rd.

Shotgun sams pizza in the same area

The Dairy-Ette on Ferguson Rd (which is still there I believe)

Circle Grill

Luby's at Lochwood with the organ player in the middle spinning around while you ate.


I swear my parents knew every dive diner in the metroplex.

Wow, I forgot about Sambos and there used to be a Duanes coffee shop on 15th in East Plano in the same little shopping center as the old Bob Davis Grocery store. at least it was there in 1966. :spin:
